Local content, trustworthiness and a long-standing journalistic tradition have made Valgamaalane the most popular newspaper in Valga County. The routes of Valgamaalane reach back to 1907 when the newspaper’s predecessor Sõna was published. The newspaper has changed its name on several occasions since then, until becoming Valgamaalane in 1988. The county newspaper is published three times a week and usually has 12 pages or more. The digital edition of Valgamaalane contains fresh and operative news every day as well as a photo gallery and videos. Valgamaalane offers its readers the most important news in the county and occasionally travels outside the county or country borders.
