April 13, 2016

Risto Eelmaa to head AS Express Post from May 15. Eelmaa spent the last five years running Itella SmartPOST that in that time became Estonia's leading parcel terminal and delivery service provider.

Risto Eelmaa will be taking over from Sven Suurraid who has decided to leave the company after 13 years at its helm during which time he delivered a notable contribution to the development of AS Express Post.

“The entire sector of mail delivery is changing, and technology has an important role to play here. I hope to deliver a new development impulse also to Express Post to maintain and make its business more effective. In order to achieve sustainable growth, the goal of finding new business avenues with which to boost turnover and offer clients a broader portfolio of products must be set. I'm eagerly awaiting meeting my new colleagues with whom we will set about realizing these new challenges,” Risto Eelmaa said.

Mail delivery service AS Express Post was established in 1997 by AS Eesti Meedia and is today owned in equal parts by AS Eesti Meedia and AS Ekspress Grupp. AS Express Post delivers publications to people's doorstep in Tallinn and Tartu and their neighboring parishes inside 20-30 kilometers, as well as in Pärnu and Viljandi. The company delivers on average 95,000 newspapers and magazines to people's mailboxes every single day and is also engaged in managing periodicals' orders and full administration of databases.
